I love ‘Lucy’s Escapades’ fabric line

Posted: 02 Nov 2011 08:47 PM PDT

Over the Halloween weekend I house-sat for my sister who was out-of-town for a retreat. It’s a two-story Victorian and due to its large size, it’s where we have most of our family events. Painted in bright cheery colors, it’s a happy house but when I walked up the steps to enter Friday evening there was nary a light on…

Tutorial: Sewing on faux fur

Posted: 02 Nov 2011 04:24 PM PDT

I love the texture that faux fur can add to a sewing project, but all that fur can be difficult to work with.  If you cut it wrong, you end up with the pile chopped short at the edges.  If you’re not careful when sewing the pieces together, you end up with the pile tucked into the seam.  But don’t worry.  Sew4Home
