Jenna of Sew Happy Geek is on point in getting the most mileage from her fabrics when creating Granny Squares. She shares how on her blog. 
Becky of Patchwork Posse made this 15″ square doll quilt using up the limited number of purples in her stash. So sweet! Of the pattern she explains,
I’m afraid checkers is more my speed, though I did always want to master the game of Chess. Ah well, maybe when I retire. Find the how-tos and recipe to make this beautiful checkerboard cake and chocolate Chess pieces 
Because it’s Summer here and almost 100 degrees, I figure I’ll just add ice cream to everything. Make chocolate chip cookie ice cream sandwiches

Sorry, but I had to do that. As one who came of age in the ’80s, no ’80s reference can go unnoticed. But aside from nostalgia, I just love this idea for iced coffee, tea, any nice and cool drink that needs more oomph. Make vanilla ice cubes
