Call for Art - ASC Quarterly Juried Online Competition - People and Portraits | Deadline: Sunday, September 30

A Singular Creation presents a series of quarterly online juried competitions. These competitions are open to all artists and photographers worldwide, working in any media, excluding video. All styles of art will be accepted. We will award at least $1,500 in cash and prizes for each of the four competitions. All artists' work will become part of our permanent online collection and will be promoted heavily all over the web. The theme of this competition is People and Portraits. Contest is open to all media and all styles of art in which the human face is portrayed in any way, or a person (figures included) is represented as a major part of the work.

National Art Encounter 2012-13 | Wednesday, September 12

The Naples Art Association at The von Liebig Art Center invites all artists residing in the United States to enter one or two original artworks in any media for National Art Encounter 2012-13. The fine art exhibition will be installed in Naples, Florida from Dec. 8, 2012 to Jan. 26, 2013. $2,500 in awards. Size and other restrictions apply. Mystery Build Art Challenge | Sunday, September 16
Mystery Build is an art contest developed by two artists to inspire creativity. Purchase a Mystery Build Materials Kit. Create a work of art using ONLY the materials in the Kit. Upload photos or videos of your creation. Over $10,000 in cash prizes. Winners are selected by a panel of judges and online public voting. The specific materials in the Kit will be unknown to you at the time of purchase, but you can expect to find some common sculpting materials like wood, metal, clay, and fiber. The Kits are 10" wide and 3.5" deep and contain around 3.5 lbs. of materials. Enter individually or as a team. Enter as many times as you want, using multiple Mystery Build Kits. The contents of multiple Kits may not be combined into a single Entry. You may use one Kit per Entry and create one Entry per Kit. For sale December 2011 through August 2012. 43rd Annual River Road Show | Monday, September 17

The 43rd Annual River Road Show, a national juried exhibition sponsored by the Louisiana Art and Artists' Guild, is receiving entries for the December 3 - January 30 exhibit at the Louisiana State Archives building in Baton Rouge, LA. Deadline for entries is September 17. Entry fee is $40 for first three entries and $5 for each additional submission up to 10. This is a national juried competition with cash & prizes of $4000. All United States artists 18 years and older are invited to submit any original two-dimensional art except photography or digitally-created/enhanced works. The exhibition will be juried and judged by multidisciplinary artist Sam Corso. The Prospectus and pictures of the 2011 exhibit are available online. The Coastal Arts League and Half Moon Bay Beautification Committee Sponsors Of 2012 Half Moon Bay Art & Pumpkin 2013 Festival Ad Poster Contest. This contest is open to all interested parties, particularly professional artists, graphic designers and art students due to the detailed production specifications required.

Cash Award: A $1000 grand prize cash award will be presented to the winning artist plus here will be a $500 award for second place, $250 for third (two). Special awards will be given for the “People's Choice” ($250) and "Most Creative" ($100). 12 12 Gallery International Juried Photography Exhibition 2012 | Monday, September 24
 

Artists around the world age 18+, working in any photographic process, may submit up to 3 images for consideration. Additional images may be submitted at an additional cost for up to a total of 5 works. Work previously exhibited at 12 12 Gallery is not eligible. Cash and prizes up to $1000 will be awarded solely at the discretion of the exhibition juror. Recognition of work by Professor Widiapradja may also be designated to the extent he deems appropriate. These designations may not include a cash prize. Also, 12 12 Gallery Director, Martin McFadden, will award a Director’s Choice Award.

ALL artists will be notified of selection status by e-mail. Entries will not be returned without SASE and adequate postage. Entry forms may be photocopied. Images of accepted work may be retained for publicity purposes and will be returned after the exhibition closes. Selected work must be sent ready for installation. 14th Annual Abstraction Juried Online International Art Exhibition | Monday, September 24

The Upstream People Gallery presents an exhibition with 12 month's gallery representation, October 1, 2012 through September 30, 2013, with approximately one million hits each month. Open to all artists worldwide with two- and three-dimensional semi-abstract, non-objective to pure abstract works in all media.

Cash Awards of Excellence and Special Recognitions will be given at the juror's discretion; the amounts and number of which is determined by the entries and their quality. Specially recognized artists will be reviewed in the juror's statement published worldwide and sent in a press release to the artist's local newspaper(s).

LACDA 2012 International Juried Competition | Monday, September 24

Enter our juried competition for digital art and photography. Entrants submit three JPEG files of original work. All styles of artwork and photography where digital processes of any kind were integral to the creation of the images are acceptable. The competition is international, open to all geographical locations. The selected winner receives 10 prints up to 44x60 inches on canvas or museum quality paper (approximately a $2,500-$3,000 value) to be shown in a solo exhibition in our main gallery from September 8-30, 2011. The show will be widely promoted and will include a reception for the artist.

Ten second place winners will receive one print of their work up to 24x36 inches ($150-$200 in value) to be included in upcoming group exhibits. The ten second place winners will be scheduled into a group shows within twelve months of announcement of winners. Consideration is given to placing these works in shows appropriate to their style, genre and/or content. These shows will be widely promoted and will include a reception for the artists. Special consideration will be given to all entrants for inclusion in future shows at LACDA. Many entrants from past competitions have already been included in our exhibits.

The Naked Truth | Tuesday, September 25

The truth of a naked body will always reveal itself. Show us incredible artwork of the human form to be in this show. If it's like the last nude art show, it will probably be its own exhibition. WCW Magazine's First Annual Art Contest | Monday, October 1

Wisdom Crieth Without is proud to sponsor its first annual art contest, in keeping with our continued mission to promote quality work from around the world. This contest serves as yet a further celebration of traditional art, and the rewards are quite rich indeed! First Prize: $500 cash prize, featured placement in the following issue of Wisdom Crieth Without, interview with the staff of Wisdom Crieth Without to appear in the magazine, five print contributor's copies of the issue the art appears in, cover placement in the year-end poetry/art anthology, and one contributor's copy of the year-end anthology. Second Prize: $300 cash prize, placement in the following issue of Wisdom Crieth Without, three print contributor's copies of the issue the art appears in, and placement in the year-end poetry/art anthology. Colorado Photographic Arts Center present "Street View". All lens-based media are eligible, including but not limited to images made by film or video camera, scanner, screen-capture, digital camera, and any means of mobile photography. Entry is open to members and non-members of CPAC. Members receive a discount on entry fees plus additional benefits, which can be found on our website. A $300 purchase award will be given for Best of Show, chosen by the juror. Three honorable mention awards will also be made.

Call For Artists - MFA Annual | Wednesday, October 31

New American Paintings is a museum-quality, soft-cover art periodical, published bimonthly by The Open Studios Press. Each 184 page volume is a regional exhibition-in-print, selling for $20 at 1,500 bookstores, museum shops and art supply stores nationwide. The books have become periodical resources for collectors and art world professionals.

All styles and media are welcome, as long as the work is singular and two-dimensional. The competition’s 40 winners will appear in an upcoming edition of New American Paintings and will retain all rights to their images. This competition is open to current master of fine arts candidates and current year graduates.

This Call for Entry is unique to Mpls Photo Center as it has no specific theme like previous ones. That is exactly what we’re looking for in your images submitted for “Picture This”. The concept is to showcase broad mix of genres and processes, which we believe, will create one of our most compelling exhibits to date. We want to see what you photograph and how you process those images. Portraits, documentary, landscapes, architecture, nature, wildlife, modernist and traditional trends and processes. Yosemite Renaissance XXVIII | Saturday, November 10
 

Yosemite Renaissance XXVIII Call for Entries. All media, juried fine art competition & exhibition on the theme of Yosemite and the environment of the Sierra Nevada. Open to all living artists. $4,000 in awards. Entry is by digital files only. $15 per entry. Exhibit begins at the Yosemite Museum Gallery, February 22, 2013.

Subject matter is limited to recent works on the landscape, environment, wildlife and people of Yosemite or the environment of the Sierra. Both representational and non-representational submissions are accepted. Original artwork may be in any medium including the following: Painting (any medium); Photography/Digital; and Other (All other two- and three-dimensional media, including drawings, pastels, printmaking, textiles, and all 3-dimensional works). Size is limited to works that can be shipped in containers not exceeding maximum U.P.S. dimensions of 130 inches, length and girth combined (girth is the distance around the package). 2013 Collector's Choice at Sylvia White Gallery | Thursday, November 15

Start the year off right! For this exhibition, Sylvia White has invited 15 of the gallery’s best collectors to review the artist submissions and select their favorite work. Each collector may select one or more pieces by artists that are not currently represented in their private collection. Call for Entries - 2013 Hunting Art Prize | Friday, November 30

The Hunting Art Prize announces the call for entries for its 2013 competition, giving artists in Texas an opportunity to vie for a $50,000 prize. The competition is open to artists who are legal residents of Texas and at least 18 years of age or older by August 1, 2012. Artwork submitted for consideration must be a single two-dimensional painting or drawing not exceeding 72 inches on any side (including frame, if any).

Artists must sign up using the electronic form and upload one digital file representing their selected artwork. The digital file must be in JPEG format, no less than 1 MB and no greater than 2 MB in size. Artwork must be uploaded at the time the artist signs up for the competition.

Emerging Artists 2013 | Friday, November 30

SlowArt Productions presents Emerging Artists 2013, the 21st annual competition for group exhibition and awards. Open to all artists working in any media. $1000 cash award and $2400 in publication awards. This exhibition is devoted to the discovery, introduction and promotion of emerging artists. The exhibition will be held in April 2013 at the Limner Gallery and is open to all artists working in any media.

Embracing Our Differences is accepting submissions for its 10th annual outdoor art exhibit celebrating diversity to be displayed during April - May 2013 in Sarasota, FL USA. Submissions must be postmarked no later than January 7, 2013. National and international submissions are encouraged. 38 artists will be selected for the exhibit. Since 2004, the exhibit has been viewed by more than 1,300,000 visitors. Final selections will be made by a 3-judge panel of art professionals. A total of $3,000 (US) in awards will be presented. There is no submission fee nor limit on the number of entries.

Eco Arts Awards - Call for Entries | Tuesday, January 15

Eco Arts Awards is an annual arts competition in 6 creative categories: Fine Art, Literature, Photography, Short Videos, Repurposed Materials in Art & Design, and Songwriting. Ecology is the theme. We seek to promote the multitude of interpretations of that theme via the arts, as we know that it is artists who can lift awareness above any political or scientific debate. We have an expert panel of jurors for each of our featured categories. You can see who they are on our website. We offer a total of $12,500 usd cash to three winners in all six categories. We will announce all winners on January 31st via our newsletter, so be sure to sign up to receive it on our home page.
